Emerging Animal Infectious Diseases Conference
August 25, 2020 - August 27, 2020
Due to the continued spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus and the unprecedented challenges it poses to communities across Pennsylvania and around the world, the Emerging Animal Infectious Diseases Conference has been rescheduled to August 25-27, 2020.
On behalf of the Pennsylvania State University, the College of Agricultural Sciences, in conjunction with Penn State’s Center for Security Research and Education, will be presenting a Emerging Animal Infectious Diseases Conference on August 25-27, 2020. The goal of the conference is to highlight current successes and lessons learned from past experiences combatting foreign animal diseases as well as explore new areas for action, preparedness and response. We hope to reach on-farm decision makers, including veterinarians, farm owners, extension, state and federal regulators, and industry representatives in this 2.5 day conference. Guest speakers and breakout sessions will address a number of diseases (FMD, ASF, HPAI, and NDV) from a variety of perspectives, including surveillance and diagnosis, economic impact, and strategies for mitigating/minimizing risk.
