Emerging Animal Infectious Diseases Conference
November 29, 2021 - December 1, 2021
On behalf of the Pennsylvania State University, the College of Agricultural Sciences, in conjunction with Penn State’s Center for Security Research and Education, will be presenting a conference on High Consequence Emerging Infectious Animal Diseases, November 29-December 1, 2021.
The goal of the conference is to highlight current successes and lessons learned from past experiences combatting foreign animal diseases as well as explore new areas for action, preparedness, and response. We hope to reach on-farm decision-makers, including veterinarians, farm owners, extension, state, and federal regulators, and industry representatives in this 2.5-day conference.
Guest speakers and breakout sessions will address a number of diseases (FMD, ASF, HPAI, and NDV) from a variety of perspectives, including surveillance and diagnosis, economic impact, and strategies for mitigating/minimizing risk.
